SJCCI Joins First-Ever POP National Conference

JUNIOR JOSEPHIAN CHRONICLES

The Peer Organization of the Philippines (POP) held its 1st National Conference on October 4, 2025, at St. Paul College. The event gathered 600 peer advocates from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and focused on developing leadership skills while spreading awareness about mental health and peer support.

The conference included guest speakers, plenary sessions, and interactive activities that helped participants learn more about peer facilitation and leadership. One of the highlights was the keynote message delivered by Ma. Honey Belle B. Vicencio, RGC, PGCA National Vice President for External Affairs, given in line with the conference theme, “Empowering Youth, Embracing the Power of Peer Support.” Participants also joined group activities that encouraged teamwork, communication, and the sharing of ideas.

The event emphasized the importance of peer support and reminded participants that people of all ages have the right to speak up and ask for help. The SJCCI delegation was composed of faculty members and ARSC officers, including Sir Keam Panuyas, Teacher Servant Leader, Brent Bernal, ARSC School President, and Giullian Tuna, Provincial Secretary.
