St. Joseph College of Cavite, Inc. envisions a life-giving and innovating education ministry committed to transforming community of learners into Christ-centered Augustinian Recollect Stewards.

St. Joseph College of Cavite, Inc. commits to live the Gospel values, innovate through relevant curriculum, and transform into Christ-centered stewards.

EXPLANATION OF THE SEAL

• The SHIELD bears the national colors red, white and blue, an indication that the institution is genuinely Filipino and to express “PATRIA”, the field of the shield

• The CROSS occupies the center of the shield to make it the most important position in the field. It symbolizes the missionary character of the order of the authorities of the school, and not the symbol of the “VIRTUS” of the motto.

• On the dexter side of the shield is the emblem of the Congregation of the Augustinian Recollect Sisters, the “SACRED SCRIPTURE” and the “HEART”.

• On the sinister side of the shield are the attributes of St. Joseph, namely, the BENCH, VISE with TOOLS and the LILY.

• The motto “PATRIA, SCIENTIA, VIRTUS” embraces the shield.

• The outer rim contains the college name, “ST. JOSEPH COLLEGE OF CAVITE, INC.” In the lower portion of the rim is “1945” which indicates the founding year of the school.

SJCCI PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

We believe that an individual can become a Christian who can integrate one’s religious, cultural and professional knowledge in life and be a self-directed Filipino who is committed to building the community where he lives, thus, promoting the growth of Christ’s love that makes the individual deeply humane to attain the ultimate goal - God.

ST. AUGUSTINE PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

Education is man’s journey of knowing God who is the Eternal Truth and of loving Him who is the Eternal Good. To achieve this goal, man journeys restlessly in faith according to the example and teachings of Jesus Christ and through reason which is his natural gift from the Creator.

In this context, Augustinian education aims to accompany young men and women who can integrate Faith and Reason in their personal lives in order to arrive at whatever is true and develop moral values to enable them to live in harmony with others.

Through the guidance and example of parents and teachers, the Augustinian pupils or students must become increasingly aware of their responsibilities to fellowmen and readily contribute to the building of a just and humane society where the Filipino people can journey together towards God.

INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES

• To develop in every student the knowledge, skills, interests, habits, powers, and ideals requisite to the realization of his full potential as a worthy member of the School, the Home, the Society, the Church, and the World as a whole;

• To develop personal discipline enlightened by a well-trained intellect in order to form a Christian personality by the acquisition of all the Christian virtues;

• To develop in the individual a prayerful search for the truth that will certainly lead to the realm of love and ultimately to the highest love – GOD

• To train the individual to become an upright and patriotic Filipino citizen in a democratic society who can freely contribute to the total well-being of the nation.

Hence, it is the purpose of this school to develop each student as an individual and as an effective member of society – physically, emotionally, intellectually, economically, socially, and spiritually.

OBJECTIVES OF SJCCI GRADE SCHOOL LEVEL

• To provide knowledge and develop skills, attitudes, and values essential to personal development necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and changing social milieu.

• To provide learning experiences which increase the awareness and responsiveness of an individual to the changes and demands of society and to prepare him for constructive and effective involvement.

• To promote and intensify the child’s knowledge of identifying, and loving God, loving the nation and the people to which he belongs.

• To provide opportunities to develop all aspects of Christian growth, of self-realization, aesthetic values, national consciousness, human relationship, civic responsibility, and economic efficiency.

• To promote work experiences which develop the child’s orientation to the world of work and creativity and prepare himself to engage in honest and gainful work.

OBJECTIVES OF SJCCI JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL 

• To equip the students with the necessary thinking, speaking, and writing skills and with the ability to react intelligently and creatively to life situations.

• To guide the students to acquire the basic principles of Christian life and to assist him in his physical, social, emotional, intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth.

• To cultivate in the students with a desirable attitude and an appreciation of our cultural heritage; an understanding of himself, of his family, and other people.

• To promote worthwhile participation in various religious, cultural, vocational, sports, and recreational programs in the community and encourage proper utilization of available resources.

• To imbue the students with the essential educational foundation needed for college work and to guide him in his choice of occupation or career.

• To provide the basic occupational skills, knowledge, and information needed for initial employment.

• To train the student to become a responsible citizen and a committed leader in the community.
